Analysis of differenciation of cities in the Czech Republic based on urban transport companies

Cílem bakalářské práce je analyzovat velikost a zalidnění měst v České republice na základě rozvinutosti jejich městské hromadné dopravy a zároveň ověření pravidel stupňování měst. Využita budou data o infrastruktuře, provozu a nákladů dopravních podniků. K analýze budou využita data sdružení dopravních podniků a jednotlivých dopravců rozdělená podle různých kategorií. Při práci s daty budou používány metody statistické analýzy.The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to analyze the size and population of cities in the Czech Republic based on the development of their urban public transport and at the same time verify the rules of urban escalation. Data on infrastructure, operation and costs of transport companies will be used. The data of associations of transport companies and individual carriers divided according to different categories will be used for the analysis. Evaluation of Public Transport Financing in Selected Cities in the Czech Republic

Tématem diplomové práce je zhodnocení financování městské hromadné dopravy ve vybraných městech České republiky. Předmět práce tvoří devatenáct dopravců, kteří jsou v současnosti aktivními členy Sdružení dopravních podniků ČR. Cílem práce je na základě finanční analýzy zhodnotit finanční zdraví těchto vybraných podniků, kteří na území České republiky zajišťují městskou hromadnou dopravu. K posouzení finanční situace podniků slouží v práci finanční analýza, kdy zejména na základě rentability a likvidity je možné posoudit finanční zdraví dopravců. Dílčím cílem práce je posoudit fungování dopravních podniků také na základě výkonových a provozních kritérií. Naplnění dílčího cíle je podpořeno hypotézami: 1)Ve sledovaném období dochází v rámci sledovaných dopravních podniků k nárůstu počtu přepravených osob. 2)Celkový počet zaměstnanců tvoří alespoň z 50 % řidiči dopravních prostředků. Pro dosažení cíle práce je v práci využita finanční analýza, konkrétně poměrové ukazatele. K doplnění slouží výkonové, provozní a ekonomická kritéria. Ověření hypotéz v práci obě tvrzení vyvrátilo, neboť ani v jednom případě nedochází k růstu počtu cestujících v období let 2010 až 2016. V rámci druhé hypotézy se šest dopravních podniků nachází pod 50 % hranicí. Vybrané dopravní podniky jednak spojuje poskytování městské hromadné dopravy a také, že ve většině případů jsou akcionáři města. Výjimkou je společnost ARRIVA TEPLCIE s.r.o., která spadá pod německý koncern. Tato společnost zároveň vykazuje nejlepší finanční situaci.This diploma thesis' theme is the evaluation of financing the urban public transport in selected cities in the Czech Republic. The subject of the work consists of nineteen transport companies with active membership in the Association of the Transport Companies of the Czech Republic. The main goal of this thesis is to evaluate the financial health of these selected companies providing urban public transport on the basis of financial analysis. To assess the financial situation of enterprises, financial analysis is used in the work where, in particular on the basis of profitability and liquidity, the financial health of the carriers can be assessed. Another partial goal of the thesis is to assess the operation of of transport companies also on the basis of performance and operational criteria. The fulfillment of the partial goal is supported by hypotheses: 1) In the tracked period of time there is an increase in the number of transported people within the tracked transport companies. 2) 50% of the total number of employees is formed by drivers of the means of transport. Ratio indicators were used to achieve the goals of the thesis. The performance, operational and economic criteria serve as an add-on. Verification of hypotheses disproved both claims, as there is no tracked increase of the number of passengers between 2010 and 2016 in any case. About the second hypothesis, six transport companies employ below 50% of drivers of the total number of their employees. Selected transport companies combine the provision of urban public transport and also, in most cases, the city's shareholders. One exception is ARRIVA TEPLICE s.r.o., which belongs to the German concern. Tématem diplomové práce je analýza dopravní obslužnosti ve vybraných městech. Analýza se týká městské hromadné dopravy ve městech Brno, Ostrava a Plzeň. Městská hromadná doprava ve vybraných městech zahrnuje dopravu autobusovou, tramvajovou a trolejbusovou. Jednotlivé dopravní podniky jsou stručně charakterizovány. Ve zmíněných městech je provedena komparace obecných a finančních ukazatelů dopravních podniků. Jedním z finančních ukazatelů jsou provozní výnosy a náklady. Závěr práce se věnuje doporučením a návrhům pro ekonomické zefektivnění a zlepšení úrovně cestování ve sledovaných městech.The topic of the thesis is the analysis of transport services in selected cities. The analysis concerns urban public transport in Brno, Ostrava and Plzeň. Public transport in selected cities includes bus, tram and trolleybus services. The individual transport companies are briefly characterized. In these cities, a comparison of general and financial indicators of transport enterprises is made. One of the financial indicators is operating income and expenses. Import 26/06/2013Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na komparaci dopravní obslužnosti vybraných měst, kterými jsou Praha, Brno, Ostrava a Plzeň. Cílem je zhodnocení dopravní obslužnosti těchto měst z finančního hlediska. V práci jsou použity metody komparace, analýzy odborných dokumentů, analýzy odborné literatury a metody časových řad. Ověření stanovených hypotéz objasní stanovený cíl práce. Teoretická část je zaměřena na vymezení základních pojmů nezbytných pro pochopení dané situace. Praktická část je zaměřena na komparaci všech dostupných údajů. Dle zjištěných výsledků pak budou navrhnuty návrhy a opatření v této oblasti.This thesis is focused on the comparison of selected urban transport services, which are Prague, Brno, Ostrava and Plzeň. The aim is to evaluate the urban public transport from a financial point of view. In essay is used method comparison, analysis of technical documents, analysis of literature and time series methods. Analysis of the Municipal Public Transport in Regional Capital Cities of the Czech Republic

Diplomová práce pojednává o vybraných dopravních podnicích v krajských městech České republiky v letech 2014 - 2018. Zabývá se zhodnocením jejich činnosti a hospodaření, se zaměřením na provozní, výkonová a ekonomická kritéria, jakou jsou např.: provozní délka linek, velikost vozového parku, produktivita řidičů, počet přepravených osob, kompenzace za poskytnuté veřejné služby, tržby z městské hromadné dopravy nebo náklady. K nalezení a vysvětlení poznatků, zákonitostí a dosažení vytyčeného cíle byly využity čtyři metody, a to komparace, deskriptivní analýza, syntéza a alokace. Na závěr práce jsou navrhnuta možná doporučení ke zlepšení pro tři dopravní podniky s nejhoršími výsledky.The diploma thesis deals with the selected transport companies in regional cities of the Czech Republic in 2014 - 2018. It deals with the evaluation of their activities and economy, focusing on operational, performance and economic criteria such as: line length, the size of fleet, productivity of drivers, the number of passengers carried, compensation for the provided public service, revenues from public transport or the costs. Four methods were used to find and explain the findings, patterns and achievement of the set goal: comparison, descriptive analysis, synthesis and allocation. Evaluation of the Activity and Financial Management of the Selected Transport Companies

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou činnosti a hospodaření vybraných dopravních podniků, a to se zaměřením na dopravní výkonnost, vozový park, investice do obnovy vozového parku, tarif, výsledek hospodaření, dotace na provozní činnost a přehled příjmů. K dosažení tohoto cíle byly použity metody - rešerše odborné literatury, horizontální a vertikální analýza a metoda komparace. V bakalářské práce bylo zjištěno, že všeobecným problémem, který se týká dopravních podniků je nedostatek řidičů. Dále najdeme v práci srovnání tarifů či dotací na provozní činnost. Součástí bakalářské práce je také zhodnocení analýzy a návrhy a doporučení.The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the activity and management of selected transport companies, with a focus on transport performance, fleet, investment in fleet renewal, fare, profit, subsidies for operating activities and income overview. To achieve this goal, methods were used - literature search, horizontal and vertical analysis and comparison method. In the bachelor thesis it was found that the general problem that concerns transport companies is the lack of drivers. We can also find a comparison of tariffs or subsidies for operating activities. Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na popis finanční výkonnosti podniku MESIT přístroje spol. s r.o. Práce je rozdělena na dvě hlavní části – teoretickou část, která popisuje metody finanční analýzy a statistické metody popisu časových řad - a praktickou část. V praktické části se zabývám finanční analýzou z účetních výkazů podniku, za období sedmi posledních let, a následnou aplikací analýzy časových řad na vybrané ukazatele.This the aim of this work is a description of the financial performance of the company MESIT pristroje s r.o. The theoretical part is thematically divided into two parts, the methods of financial analysis and the statistical methods to describe time series. The practical part has a deal of analysis of the company financial statements for the past seven years, and the subsequent analysis of time series of applications for selected indicators.

Předmětem článku je kvalita a výkonnost podniků v cestovním ruchu. Cílem článku je analyzovat kvalitu a výkonnost podniků v cestovním ruchu a komparovat ji s kvalitou a výkonností podniků v jiných odvětvích, v tomto případě v potravinářském průmyslu. Dílčím cílem článku je identifikace odchylek a naznačení příčin těchto odchylek tak, aby bylo možné identifikovat specifika podniků v cestovním ruchu s ohledem na kvalitu a výkonnost. To by mělo následně umožnit managementu lépe zacílit nástroje řízení a zvýšit výkonnost podniků v oblasti cestovního ruchu.Předmětem článku je kvalita a výkonnost podniků v cestovním ruchu.
